We are looking for a talented & creative engineer to kick start our product team, and help us to continue to build our creators platform. The right candidate has experience building products from beginning to end, and will be instrumental in helping decide the direction of the product from a backend perspective. This opportunity provides not only a rich learning experience from a development end, but also from a business and strategic point of view.
What we build This is our first full time product hire. You will work closely with the two partners, and our awesome part time full stack developer. This role has strong growth potential, as we look to build out the development and design team over the next year. Your focus would be to grow our platform from its current early stages to an integral part of our business.

Visual Country is looking for a Part Time to Full Time Public Relations & Social Media Manager (about 30 flexible hours a week) to oversee and execute content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, Vine, and Snapchat as well as campaign content, blogs, press releases, bylined articles, presentations and talking notes, and other traditional and digital marketing formats as required. This role requires exceptional understanding of aesthetics and style, writing, editing and communications skills. If the candidate does not have much experience in Public Relations but is a fit for the Social Media Manager, we are willing to train them.
Oversee day-to-day social media initiatives; including writing and posting diverse content and developing strategies to optimize user engagement, drive action, to the brand’s presence across all major channels, working closely with the creative director.
Conceptualize and lead the implementation of compelling lifestyle and promotional content and programs that engages our current audience and garners new fans and followers.
Create and maintain a social media calendar for short and long term efforts.
Monitor trends in social media tools, culture, and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to increasing the use of social media.
Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage social media activities to gain insights into customer behavior .
Develop network of industry contacts; participate in relevant professional associations and become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces.
Identify opportunities to partner with like minded businesses to further team objectives
Maintaining relationships with journalists and bloggers at any number of titles — we are not working in one category so you will need to build or have already built relationships with technology, music, womens’, food, fashion and advertising publications.
Writing press materials and marketing materials on behalf of VC.
Cover major events live in the field as well as day to day lifestyle.
Leads the development, execution, and measurement of corporate speaking and awards programs.
LIKELY BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
* Some experience guiding a brand’s or your own social media strategy.
* Must be comfortable being responsible for the vast majority of postings, but the manager also needs to be flexible about who else contributes and when. All content will be first presented to the creative director who will make the final decisions about what goes live and what doesn’t.
* Interest in women’s lifestyle content (fashion, diy, food, drink, travel, music, film, pop culture).
* Basic Photoshop, HTML, Excel.
* Ability to work on tight deadlines.
* Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
* Flexibility in schedule. We will need this person to work at least two hours most Saturday and Sunday mornings, when engagement is the highest.
Must have the ability to use initiative and confidence to act upon it.
Must be organized, able to organize and able to prioritize effectively.
Must be assertive and able to shout when problems are looming.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

We are a video production agency in NYC in the social media space, looking for experienced Admin Assistant candidates who are extremely detail oriented, strong problem solvers, passionate about execution and design, and highly self motivated.
Should be interested in working in a fast paced environment, where everyone wears a lot of different hats and supports each other. You should have a diverse skill set and experience within the advertising/digital media space, with a strong interest in social media and tech.

+ Provide administrative assistance to Partners on day-to-day activities.
+ Participate in client conference calls and attend client and team meetings – setting up meetings and taking notes to insure that all necessary information is documented. Management of calendars.

+Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
+Must have prior experience using, Powerpoint, Keynote and Microsoft Excel.
+Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Indesign) and Quickbooks online a plus.

+Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
